Went up to the mushroom logs today to do out first soaking, and was surprised to find our first three shiitakes! It’s been so dry I didn’t expect it. Fried them up tonight and boy, what a nutty, meaty, rich taste. Just the three of them felt like a meal!
I’ll pull the 15 logs we have now soaking out of the tank tomorrow, and hopefully in a few days we’ll have many more of these suckers to offer! Check our farmstand and the Wakefield Farmers’ Market next weekend!
